A "Hit" is when you hit the ball fair, and everyone on base, if
any, and yourself safely advance 1 base. |

A "Double" is when you hit a ball safely, and you are able to reach
second base before having to stop. |

A "Triple" is when you hit a ball safely, and you are able to reach
third base before having to stop. |
| HR |
A "Home Run" is when you hit a ball over the fence in fair
territory in the outfield, or when you hit the ball, and it staying inside the
playing field, but you are able to touch all four bases before you are forced
to stop. |

A "Fielders Choice" is when you reach base only because a differnt
runner is put out. |
| ROE |
You "Reach on Error" the fielder is unable to complete a play to
make an out, when an ordinary effort in the same circumstance would normally
create an out. |
| GDP |
"Grounded into a Double Play " is when a batter hits a ground ball
which is turned into a double play by the defense, causing two outs. |
| SAC |
A "Sacrifice" is when a batter hits a ball which allows all the
people on base to safely move up at least on base. This is usually seen when a
man is on third base and the batter hits a ball deep into the outfield allowing
the baserunner to safely get home. |
| BB |
A "Base on Balls" is awarded anytime a better receives a count of
four balls. |
| SO |
A "Strike Out", also know as a "K" is when you get three
strike on the count agains you, or when you hit a foul ball when you have a
count of 2 strikes. |
| TB |
"Total Bases" are calculated by multiplying every single by 1,
every double by 2, every triple by 3, every home run by 4 and adding the
results. |
| RBI |
A "Runner Batted In" is scored each time you hit the ball and due
to your hit, someone is able to score. The only time you will not receive an
RBI is when you hit into a double play or if the error which allowed you to get
on base safely would have been the 3rd out. |

"Missed Runner Batted In" is a situation where a batter scores, but
no RBI's are given. This stats is mainly for bookkeeping. |

You receive credit for being "On Base" anytime you get on base, no
matter how you got there. |
| AT |
"Attempts" are counted everytime you appear at the plate, no matter
what happens during that period you are at the plate. |
| SLG |
Your "Slugging Percentage" is figured out by dividing "Total
Bases" by "At Bats" |
| OBA |
An "On Base Average" is calculated by dividing your "On
Base" total by "Attempts" |
| OPS |
Slugging Percentage added to On Base Average. A new stat that show's a
person's value to the team. |
| AVG |
Your "Batting Average" is calculated by dividing "Hits"
by "At Bats". |
